Kids

Having kids is easy. Being a good parent to the kids you have is not so easy.The challenges for parents are enormous. There are financial, emotional and physical demands that most new parents are not prepared for. Being a parent is arguably the most important job any of us will ever have. There is no pay for this job. If you want to make a little carbon copy of yourself that is not a good reason for having a kid. Anyway it doesn't work that way. There are no requirements for having a kid other than the physical/biological ones. If you buy a house you need your credit evaluated and if you don't qualify guess what, no house. If you drive a car you need a license and must obey rules of the road or face the consequences. There are no such requirements for having and raising a child. Make sure you are ready, be prepared and be willing to make the necessary adjustments to your lives to do it right. Be a committed couple to take on this new adventure. Some say it takes a village to raise a child. I say it takes committed parents who will be there for their child for the long run.
