Voting

Well, it's election time again. When I was young and liberal I rarely voted. Now I am old and conservative and I never miss the opportunity to cast my ballot. I believe that this is a common dynamic. When I was young the corruption, the sleaziness and utter insignificance and waste of time kept me from participating in the electoral process. I had much more important things to do, no matter what those things were. You can't complain if you don't vote, I was told by wiser old people. That definitely turned out to be incorrect. I could complain with the best of them. Now I am old and caught up in the illusion that what I think about the candidates matters. I know it doesn't really matter but what do I have to do...
